Veterans Day

Icon has always been a champion of the men and women of America's armed services. Indeed, Icon was started by a Navy veteran as well as having other veterans now serving on the Icon team. We are proud of both our armed services and our country and will continue to develop riding products to keep our servicemen safe. To all the vets out there - thank you for your contributions and sacrifices.

Logo Critique

There's nothing like rolling into the shop on a grey Portland morning, fresh cup of venti in hand, to find a handwritten design critique stuffed in the door. Thanks for the advice Jenna. You're a champ. We're going to contact your 'Intro to Graphic Design' professor and get you that gold star you so clearly desire. In the mean time keep an eye on your commercial art dreams and your leg hair away from your fixie's sprocket. Nick Apex

Some of you might remember that Nick Apex won the XDL Championship last year. Well, he's back at it again this year. TiMax Glove

As a product designer sometimes you draw something that is truly special. The TiMax glove was one of those products - truly polarizing - uniquely Icon. We've seen this glove worn by everyone from backstreet hooligans to BMW Sport tourers to roadrace nazis. Who knew that the medieval look would prove so universally appealing?   

The concept was to design the most intense motorcycle glove ever

The original ad concept showed the glove punching a mirror off a car - the finished ad was a bit more conservative

A positive review from Cycle World - which is unusual given that they don't care much for our 'kind'

Around 2008 we re-released the short cuff version of the TiMax - and it's associated ad - for which we received the usual hate mail

IDOTT - International Day Of The Tank

Tanks, they have big guns, can run over sh*t, and they’re armored. Lets face it - tanks are a critically important part of life. Food, shelter, water, and tanks. We at Icon say, in recognition of all their incredible humanitarian work, it's due time we institute an International Day Of The Tank. So henceforth from this day forward, November 3rd shall be officially known as Tank Day. In honor of the first Tank Day, we offer our BoneCrusher Alliance SSR and BoneCrusher tee. Get your tank on.
