Down for the Set

The Mechanica is the future-at least one possible future. In our preferred future John Conner doesn't survive and there will be no resistance. Just Skynet getting down to the business of building wicked sexy female terminators. It looks like someone out there in the Philly area has the jump on SkyNet and is using Busas' as a beta Terminator platform.

Rock the Gear

Icon has teamed up with rockthegear.org  to help them raise awareness about the importance of gear for passengers. We think their text from the poster sums it up nicely:

Passengers are just as much at risk, put your arms around that. When you are a passenger on a motorcycle, the only thing you have control over is what you are wearing. You might feel sexy on the back of the bike in a tank top and shorts, but no one is turned on by oozing skin, shattered bones, or brain damage. So be as smart as you are beautiful by wearing gear every time you ride, and go from being just another backpack to a bombshell in no time.

Squad 2 MilSpec Backpack

Black colorway shown with arm bands removed.

In need of the ultimate motorcycle riding backpack?
The Squad II backpack features unique reflective upper arm straps for increased visibility. Its unique comfort-fit chest closure system allows for a greater coverage area of reflective material while also securing the backpack in a way that is far superior to standard shoulder straps when riding. The Squad II has more stuffable pockets than Winona Rider in a jewelry store. Specifically a secure 15" laptop carry compartment and a mp3 player/cell phone compartment with ear bud cord management system. In addition, port and starboard wing compartments are designed for tool and first aid storage. When off the bike, the Squad II is configured to deploy a helmet storage compartment and has several tie-down straps allowing riding jackets and gloves to be secured. All of this results in a highly-specialized riding specific pack system with the appearance of a high-attitude jump rig.

Tyranny

The Reefer glove (named after the refrigerated trailer not the green sticky icky) is yet another product in the long list of Icon's summertime dream team. Full nylon mesh backhand yoked from a trucker hat provides mega airflow while the goatskin palm and fingertips are all asphalt fighting business. A secure rubber wrist closure not only looks tre' cool but keeps the whole product on the up and up. Blend all those features with a baroque skull graphic package and you've got the answer for all your summer riding questions.
