Busted & Broken - Local Motion

Hi Icon!

I was recently in a motorcycle crash, and was wearing the black/white Field Armor vest and Domain Decay helmet that I purchased from a local Cycle Gear in my home town Portland Oregon. I was very lucky to survive my bike crash and probably would not have if I was not wearing those products that you
guys offer. All my gear is messed up now but I am very greatful for your products.

Thanks,
Keith M.

The Nick & Ernie Show

A few days ago we let the world know that Nick Apex  and Ernie Vigil were now officially part of the Icon team. What you may not know if that both Nick and Ernie have been working for Icon for quite some time. We've documented some of their labors to give you a full picture of the glamour involved in being part of the Icon team. Enjoy.

The Icon staff bikes sustain a fair amount of damage from our belligerent riding style. Here Nick installs some new Hotbodies plastics while Ernie provides his 'pinchers of doom'.

Nick puts his CDL to good use moving pallets around the Icon superstore while Ernie gazes longingly at Nick's fly kicks.

Nick determined to accurately crosscut a 2x4 whilst Ernie throws down some blue steel.

After a hard morning of work Nick and Ernie take a well deserved break. They prefer cheap donuts and a vaporized mixture of Coke and maple syrup. In volume it's far cheaper than energy drinks. Besides their wicked riding skills, Nick & Ernie can eat super fast.

Nick enjoys another cheap creme filled. Ah...sweet dough of life. Behind him is the Icon computer server. It's an older model but it gets the job done.

If we could only package Ernie's smile and put a price on it...

Puddle Cutters

Representatives of the Puddle Cutters have crossed the 405 barrier and are now in the Slabtown territories. Let's hope that this one was lost and not a pre-scout indicating invasion. Blood will be shed...

Concept & Execution - Bombshell Jacket

The process of designing a jacket is lengthy. Initial concepts, the most fun part of the process, need to be sketched out. Then the artwork is refined in the computer. Samples are generated by skilled pattern makers and the revision process begins. Every seam, snap, zipper, and material is considered for both functional and aesthetic qualities. Soon the jacket is ready for a battery of testing. Icon test all our jackets for abrasion resistance, chemical innocuousness,  color fastness, etc. They are also put through countless miles of real world riding. Only after the jacket passes this testing is it ready for production.

Early roughs for the Bombshell chassis with some possible graphic treatments

Computer refined artwork and possible color combinations

The Patternmaker turns the Designer's 2D artwork into an actual jacket - The Designer than tells them all the ways in which they have failed

Every detail needs to be designed - this is the inner label and jacket lining print

Fitted, stitched, road tested, and ready for action

Welcome to the Brand

We are proud to officially welcome riders Nick "Apex" Brocha and Ernie "Edub" Vigil to the Icon team. It's been a long time coming but we're stoked to have them on board. As per our official welcoming tradition we have issued them each a Glock, a red cap, and a Speedo. We have also ordered them some of the good correspondence stock. There's just one thing left to do...

Primarily

Anybody have an extra '27' they don't need? We'll trade you a bent
'81' and a Monster Energy Coffee drink.
